Hey dolls! Carolyn here, with a super fun and creative fall project
As the Halloween holiday approaches, pumpkins will be appearing everywhere! So, It is the time of the year where we get our old Halloween decorations and see which ones can still be used. However, some of us decided to get a little more creative and give the usual halloween home decorations, some tweaks. On my part, I always love decorating. Whether it’s for whatever season, I just love to emerge myself into different handicrafts and arts-related past time. Halloween is extra special since my kid and my husband loves to help me decorate. These boys squeal in delight carving Halloween pumpkins and put candles in it.
Why my boys literally want to add a touch of horror in our home through these strange and ugly decorations, I try to balance the theme. I make my indoor halloween decorations less creepy and disrespectful. But Halloween is supposed to be creepy, right? No. At least not in my house. I make sure my home is kid and adult friendly. How? I just turned a creepy pumpkin into a sequined one. How posh.
Get out the thumbtacks and go craaazy! I don’t know about you, but the gold trend has really been catching my eye this year so I decided to decorate my other two pumpkins with thumbtack, how about that girlies? As you can see, there are lots of ways to make use of pumpkins – To create that perfect Halloween ambiance for your home! Anyway, speaking of unique halloween costumes I also love to DIY my son’s Halloween attire. Choosing his costume is our form of bonding. I love how excited he gets whenever he discusses the costume that he wants to have for the Halloween.
If visiting the mall or boutique won’t suffice, I have his Halloween outfits tailor-made or I DIY. So far, I heard great feedbacks in the last two years I have sewn his outfits. We are still debating as to which costume he would wear this year’s Halloween. Meanwhile, my husband isn’t hard to please. He is always in the mood to play dress up especially during Halloween. He doesn’t mind wearing a pair costume with me. When my son was still younger, we would come to costume parties in trio. That is how fun our Halloween befor. However, Halloweens over the years change for a good reason. I don’t mind the changes too as long as my son still wants a Halloween treat.
Do you have any Halloween decoration ideas you wanted to share? How about your Halloween costume?
